H&M Beanie / JC Penney Knit Cardigan (check out this similar style!) /Threadless Flamingo T-Shirt (c/o) / Vintage Revolution Skinny Jean Legging (c/o) / Vintage Boots (thrifted from Value Village) / Charlotte Russe Bracelets
This outfit stemmed from a two things: cold weather, and just wanting to be comfortable. But, I think that even when you are dressing comfortably, you can add just a few touches, such as simple accessories, as a way to keep your outfit looking comfy-chic rather than comfy-bleak.
(Disclaimer: I’m not suggesting that if you don’t always dress up a casual and basic look that you are bleak looking! If you feel great in whatever you put on, that will shine through more than any sparkly bracelet. This is just me sharing my way of spicing up an otherwise fairly simple but cute outfit :) Easy, peasy! )
In this case, I tossed on a few “diamond” bracelets for some sparkle, along with a soft, relaxed beanie and my new favorite thrifted leather booties. As for the rest of the outfit, I love my Vintage Revolution jeans. They have newly become a favorite because they are fitted in all the right places, still stretchy and flexible, but never saggy. Basically a great pair of jeans that will be appearing more regularly on the blog. You’ve seen the t-shirt here, dressed up in a completely different way, and this red sweater is another JC Penney American Living find. I found that this cozy knitted grandpa cardigan is a great option to throw over a tee and jeans to add some fun dimension and color to an outfit. Case in point. :)
It started out with me giving him my signature hug. This involves me standing behind him with my legs on either side of his body, then leaning down and hugging his back and chest…
But then he decided he had enough and stood up with me still behind/half on him! I completely lost my balance, fell forward onto him and started laughing so hard that I couldn’t get off for a good 10-15 seconds.
He then started wiggling and walking forward and before I knew it, I was half-riding my 120-pound puppy! Me at my finest. Ha.
My Dad was behind the camera and just kept shooting the whole debacle. I still laugh every time I look at these photos. Gotta love my Dad and Barney. xoxo
