1. Zara Blouse / H&M Skirt 2/3. J.Crew Necklace / Lauren by Ralph Lauren Shoes 4. H&M Trench / J.Crew Clutch
Remember this color blocking mini series? For those of you new to it, I created a little tutorial to show how you can rock this trend at three different levels: 1-for beginners, 2-for intermediate, 3-for advanced. Last time we did level 1, today, I give you level 2!

How To Recreate It:
1. I used the same green top as last time to keep it simple, but for more of a challenge, since this is level 2, I took a risk and paired this lime green top with an equally bright tomato-colored skirt.
2/3. With a high waisted skirt, such as this one, to avoid bunching, and looking too much like a Christmas ornament, I opted to tie the loose extra material into a cute knot right at the waist to create a clean silhouette. I added minimal accessories, such as this simple peal necklace and cognac colored heels.
4. By adding a khaki trench as the final piece, it ties this outfit together and helps break up the bold color contrast. Now, in most situations, you will have to remove your jacket so if you really like this look but don’t want to stand out so much, try a khaki blazer as an alternative option.
Styling Tip: Invest in cognac colored accessories. In my opinion, you really can’t go wrong with this color when accenting an outfit. It really is the best neutral and goes with most anything.
