Yesterday I headed to Flatiron to check out the new Eddie Bauer flagship store on 5th, which is the first Manhattan store the brand has had in city in seven years! Seeing as I am from Seattle, which is where the brand originated from, and having grown up shopping there with my parents, I have a nostalgic tie to Eddie Bauer for sure. But what’s so exciting is how much the style and brand in general has evolved and changed. I feel like there’s something for everyone inside, whether you are looking for something to hike in, work out in or just an easy carefree dress for summer, they have it!
Upon arriving to the store, there was quite the party happening outside, complete was a prize wheel, a customized airstream, food trucks and a live band, which was really cool. After checking it out for a minute, I headed inside the store to meet the lucky winner who scored a $500 gift card and a styling session with me. I ended up working with a mother named Maureen and her son Finn, shown above, who were super nice and friendly (he wanted to be involved in whatever we did. :) We ended up selecting two super cute dresses for her since they have an upcoming trip to the Grand Canyon this summer, where she will most definitely need easy, packable items that won’t wrinkle.
I’m wearing a vest from Eddie Bauer, which I also can’t wait to wear in fall with a flannel or layer under a jacket when it gets chilly outside.
I had a blast styling Maureen and was so happy she left feeling great about her purchases as well as having a new impression of the Eddie Bauer brand. Job complete! xo
