As almost all of you know, last week was a rough one. Barney, our family dog passed away, so I decided I needed to take a few days off and just focus on the fact that it was Casey’s Birthday. Luckily I had something planned every night starting Wednesday (his actual Birthday), which really took my mind off things, and we went full steam ahead until Sunday evening…
I documented some of the festivities on Snapchat and Instagram but these photos were taken on Saturday when Casey and I headed out to Long Island City for a day of fun. We started by visiting the 40th Anniversary Exhibit of Saturday Night Live, then walked all the way to the East River and hopped on the ferry to get a bite at the LIC Flea and visit the Rockaway Brewery Co. Afterward we had a glass of wine at BLVD LIC. and later that night, we headed back to the city to celebrate his Birthday in style at a fun karaoke lounge near Union Square with friends. Sunday proved to be a super fun day as well (YouTube video to come), so needless to say, I think he had a great Birthday. :)
