I wore this simple but classic look this past Sunday to attend the Tracy Reese show on behalf of Mary Kay. I was lucky enough to go backstage to see and learn all about the makeup looks used on the runway (read about here) as well as hang out with the lovely Mara, Sydne and Sheryl before and during the show. Below are some great photos that Sheryl’s husband took of us right before went into the Tracy Reese show. Thanks Reuben!
Now about the outfit…I used to really dislike black and brown together, but now I really like it! I think it comes down to the color of brown you choose, but I found this look really easy to wear yet still sophisticated. As you can see, I kept the majority of the look monochromatic by wearing almost all black, which I think is the way to go. When wearing a two-toned outfit you want to make sure you don’t get too matchy matchy, otherwise the look can come off looking too contrived.
I kept my makeup super simple and even though I considered rocking a bold orangey-red lip, I opted against it, and went for a fresh faced look instead.
I love how our outfits coordinated so well. We didn’t even plan it!
Hope everyone is having a great week! xo
