As someone who works from home for the most part, I usually wear fairly casual clothing when it’s just me sitting at my desk. But there are also plenty of days that I have meetings or client sessions and I want to take my style up a notch and wear something I feel good in. On my busiest days, I definitely wear a few different “hats” whether it’s “blogger, stylist, friend or girlfriend,” but I always want to make sure that my outfits transition effortlessly into whatever it is I might be doing. I find that during the summer I am drawn to pretty, lightweight shift dresses that I can easily dress up or down and this pretty white linen dress with elegant embroidery from Tommy Bahama is the perfect piece to wear to a meeting then straight out to happy hour with friends. Case in point: I wore this look earlier to a causal client session (a pair of simple flat sandals were in my bag – see my styling tip below) straight out to drinks with Casey and a few mutual colleagues at Parlor for some after work drinks.Styling tip:
Stash a high heel sandal in your bag to swap out your flat sandals, and a favorite accessory such as a statement necklace or a couple of bracelets to elevate your look in seconds. Or if jewelry isn’t your thing, grab your favorite red lipstick to really pack some punch!
