Today’s post is a fun tutorial on how I use Real Techniques new Miracle Sponges to get a natural, fresh faced look. Click through below for the full tutorial and to see a sneak peek of what I wore!
This look shouldn’t take you more than ten minutes because the sponges make distributing the concealer and foundation super easy. Also, I kept my eye makeup minimal and only wore shadow and mascara, but that part all depends on your personal makeup style and preference!Tip: Use a damp sponge for a dewy glow or dry for full coverage!
Step 1: I began by using the miracle complexion sponge, which has multiple surfaces, and Kat Von D’s Lock-It Concealer.
Step 2: I found that I like using the precision tip to blend the concealer under my eyes, around my nose and on any spots I might have.
Step 3: Then I dipped the flat edge into the foundation to begin the initial makeup application.
Step 4: Once I had full coverage everywhere, I used the rounded side to blend the makeup into the larger areas of my face and along the jawline.
Step 5: I experimented a bit for fun because the miracle sculpting sponge is an all–in–one tool for an effortless contouring and sculpting, so I used it for my blush and highlighter application. I dampened the sponge and loved how easy it was to blend the product onto my cheeks.
Step 6: There are two heads on the same sponge, a smaller side for a controlled highlight and a larger side for blended contour. I used the large flat edge to swipe the blush and highlighter up along my cheeks and cheekbones, then used the rounded side to blend to create the perfect dewy look.
Step 7: The miracle eraser sponge is amazing because it helped me get rid of the smudges of mascara that always end up on my lash line after applying! I simply dampened the sponge and used the precision tip to wipe away any excess makeup that wasn’t where it should be! (You can also use it dry to pick up, erase or blend makeup.) This little gem is my new favorite tool!I continued with the rest of my usual routine, like filling in my eyebrows and applying eyeshadow and mascara, but for the final touch, I wore some fun, bright red lipstick for a pop of color. Below is a sneak peek of what I wore to accompany this makeup look, but more on that in tomorrow’s blog post, so stay tuned! xo
