Today I am chatting about how I put this outfit together and sharing some of my styling tips…
How cute is this top from Banana Republic? They have such cute stuff right now so if you haven’t been into a store for a while or checked them out online, I highly recommend you do!
STYLING TIPS:
- Since this top has a lot of fabric, I decided to tuck it all the way in versus just doing a front tuck, which I think helped create a more flattering silhouette. (Unfortunately I can’t seem to find this striped version online but here it is in blue.)
- For the accessories I decided I wanted to have a mix of black and camel pieces, which is one of my favorite color combinations. I opted to pair my new favorite white and black panama hat and tassel earrings, with my cognac bag and sandals (so half camel pieces, half black pieces) in order to make sure the outfit looked balanced color wise.
- A bright lip felt appropriate for this look since everything else is fairly muted and monochromatic. When worn next to the pastel sunglasses, the bright white hat and the contrasting earrings, this tangerine hue just felt like a perfect pop of color!
