Over the past couple years, I’ve changed my hair color change quite a few times. I always have a fun time coloring it but I do struggle with the fact that eventually the vibrant shade that I walked out of the salon with, will eventually fade.
Right now, my hair is fading from a rich, dark auburn brown color and I desperately need to go in and see my colorist, Flores, at Arrojo to get my fix. But since I am still in Seattle, I opted for the next best thing, which is a new Color Refreshing Gloss by John Frieda. Don’t worry, it’s not permanent, it just allows you to maintain and refresh your color in between sessions without any damage. The best part is, you don’t have to leave your house to do it.
It’s available in six color-prescriptive shades (I’m using the one for cool reds) and the weekly in-shower treatment restores vibrancy and tonal dimension. Just apply to wet hair in the shower after shampooing and conditioning, leave on for 3-5 minutes and rinse. I am one week in and already seeing a change. And for $13 at most any drugstore, you can’t go wrong.
