I just ordered this sturdy woven straw hat by Janessa Leone from Shopbop, and although it’s definitely on the pricier side, I know that I will wear this hat a bunch this spring and summer, so in my mind, the cost per wear evens out in the end…
Outfit Details:
Janessa Leone Hat | Illesteva Sunglasses | Banana Republic Vest (old – similar) | H&M Dress (old – updated version) | Vans Sneakers | Prozena Schouler Bag (new cool gray color) | Revlon Lipstick in “Cherries In The Snow”
Shop the look, plus some of my favorite hats!
When shopping for a good hat, I think it’s worth spending a bit of money on it because sometimes I find inexpensive ones (not always, but most of the time) are misshapen and don’t fit well, which can make the hat come off looking cheap. I guess what I am saying is, if you’re serious about stepping up your hat game, give the buying process some thought and really invest in one that you know you will wear a lot. Some starter hats would be a classic Panama hat for spring and summer, and a nice wool felt wide brimmed hat in a neutral color like black or dark gray for fall and winter.
