On Monday I helped celebrate the launch of The Dreaming Tree 2015 Sonoma County Sauvignon Blanc, which was created by Dave Matthews and award-winning winemaker Sean McKenzie, at a beautiful outdoor party inside one of New York’s best-kept secret gardens, The New York Marble Cemetery…
As a huge fan of Dave Matthews, I love his music but admittedly didn’t know he was involved in wine, so I was super excited to attend this event and learn all about his wine. We also indulged in incredible tasting bites from DMB’s head chef Fiona Bohane’s collection of Recipes from the Road, which are special dishes inspired by their tour stops and created to pair with The Dreaming Tree. Winemaker Sean McKenzie was on-hand to guide guests through the portfolio and introduce the new Sauvignon Blanc, which was my favorite. So crisp and refreshing!I met Dreaming Tree co-conspirator and Dave Matthews Band Head Chef, Fiona Bohane, learned all about her new Recipes from the Road, which is a collection of dishes created by Bohane and inspired by the cities visited on tour with Dave Matthews Band. Some of the amazing bites included a grilled halloumi with strawberries, which they paired with Chardonnay, zucchini caprese with tomato vinaigrette, which was paired with the Sauvignon Blanc, as well as Mediterranean chickpea cakes, steak with braised white beans, and pulled chicken with blackberry BBQ sauce, all which was amazing.
They even had a fire pit to make s’mores!

It was a pretty magical evening, one that I felt very lucky to attend, so thank you so much to those involved in planning this amazing event and for including me!
P.S. Here are a few fun shots of wine Dave Matthews and Sean McKenzie drinking their wine. :)
