This past weekend was packed with nonstop activities, but boy did we have fun…
On Friday we went and saw Garth Brooks at Yankee Stadium, which was truly incredible. Whether you’re a fan of his music or not, there is no denying that he is an amazing performer. It was such a nostalgic evening for me because the last time I saw him in concert was 1998, so to see him live, close to 20 years later at Yankee Stadium no less, blew my mind. Casey was so sweet because when we bought the tickets he wasn’t really up on Garth Brook’s music but he immediately started listening to all his songs so he could get familiarized before we went to see him. By the end of the evening, he was a total convert!Saturday morning cuddles with my little Susan girl.On Saturday we originally had plans to have a picnic in the park but it turned out to be overcast and a tiny bit chilly so instead we got a few things done around the house, ran some errands and worked out before heading out to see a double feature. First we saw The Secret Lives of Pets, then in between we took a quick dinner break and ran around the corner to City Kitchen, which is located inside the Row NYC hotel (read my post about it here). We chowed down on ramen, pork buns and edamame before heading back for round two to see Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates. Both movies were hilarious and I highly recommend seeing them if you are in the mood for some lighthearted comedy.
On Sunday we hopped in a car and were taken out to Bayonne, New Jersey where we boarded the Celebrity Summit cruise ship to celebrate the first woman Captain, Kate McCue. They treated us to an excellent brunch on board and afterwards we all partook in a fun wine-blending competition.
After brunch, they brought me a cappuccino with my face in the foam!
After the cruise event, we stopped back by the apartment to regroup and change before heading out later in the evening to check out the new Ludlow House down in the Lower East Side with our friend who just became a member there. Then at 8, we joined up with some other friends to play Friends trivia around the corner at a restaurant called Essex.
My friend Emily got this for my Birthday! How fun is this customized label?!My little lazy Susan soaking up the sun and being lazy. Oh to be a cat. :)
Such a fun-filled weekend! I hope you guys had great weekends asd well and are off to a productive week so far! xo
