Last Monday my Mom came into town from Seattle! We spent the week running around to fashion week parties, sightseeing, hanging around (and organizing) the apartment and generally just having a really fun time together roaming about the city. Here are some photos from our week and weekend if you’d like to see…
I was Italy for most of Fashion Week, but I did catch one of my favorite designer’s shows when I got back. Her pieces were beautiful!
My new Nanette Lepore blouse, which I wore later on that evening to her fashion presentation.
Mom on the rooftop at The Dream Hotel for the OK Magazine party.
We visited The Dazzler Hotel in Brooklyn to check out the rooms, which were beautiful with amazing decor.
We had downtime at the apartment where I made sure to fit in snuggles with Susan.
The October issue of StyleWatch came out with the denim story I was a part of, so that was fun to see!
My friend Grace’s sister, Becca had a party to celebrate her new book, Living with Pattern.
We shopped for necklaces along Houston Street.
We walked the Williamsburg Bridge (both ways!) and took in the Manhattan skyline.
We stumbled upon a really need park and garden along the East River on our way back to the bridge. How gorgeous is this colorful glass house and cheery sunflower?
A couple fun pieces of wall art…
We had a mini staycation at The New York Edition Hotel on Saturday night, thanks to the brand This Works, which was such a luxurious treat for both of us.
Cheers!
Breakfast in bed at the hotel yesterday.
We had such a fabulous week and weekend and I am really sad that she has to fly back to Seattle today. Thank you to everyone who made this trip amazing, and thank you Mom, for coming to visit. I had a blast and love you very much! xo
P.S. The hotel that we stayed at on Saturday night was only a couple blocks from where the explosion in Chelsea took place. Unknowingly we exited the subway stop nearby just an hour before it happened, then later on up in our room, we could see the commotion on 6th avenue while watching it all unfold on the news. :/ Sending love and prayers to those who were injured or affected by this awful situation. Please, everyone be safe out there. xo
