{ These pretty little Olsenboye (Marykate and Ashley;s line for JC Penney) booties were sent to me and I liked how they almost matched the color of the skirt. I was feeling the pinky nudes and soft beiges with only a pop of pink offered by the flamingos on the shirt. Sometimes it’s fun to be color blocked with bold hues and other times monochromatic is the way to go, as in the case of this outfit. On Monday, Krystal and I kicked off our second remix challenge (see the first one here) and both wore faux fur on our first go-around. Go figure. It was sort of funny to see that we came up with such similar ensembles, but doesn’t surprise me because for the most part, we have basically the same taste.
For this remix, I think I was subconsciously channeling an 80’s wall street-meets-Miami Vice chic. Who knows if that makes any sense but that is what it feels like to me. I think it has something to do with mixing flamingos in with a vintage cream linen blazer (shoulder pads still in place) and an oversized furry coat, no?
