H&M Hat, Sunglasses, Sweater and Skirt / J.Crew Necklace / Steve Madden Shoes
A couple weeks ago, I went shopping with a client, and among the armfuls of clothing that we lugged into the dressing room at H&M, she skillfully snagged this tomato-colored high waisted A-line skirt. I was unsure of it at first but by the end of our session we had both fallen in love with it and each bought one for ourselves.
A little tip…since the waist is so high, I definitely recommend pairing it with a crop top or sweater so as not to overwhelm your shape and silhouette. In the past I have had a hard time wearing this striped number because of the fact that it’s too short to wear with any of my jeans, but it worked perfectly for this outfit. I think I want to wear this exact ensemble while strolling along with Seine with my sweetie. ( I can’t believe we are leaving for Paris in a matter of weeks!)
Trend Tip: Springy brights are here to stay and in this case, with a bold midi skirt, just remember that the hemline is most flattering when worn with heels or wedges. And you can keep your waistline looking long and lean but opting for structured, cropped, or fitted tops. Go try it for yourself! xoxo
