amazing austin – day #3

By the time my Austin trip came to an end, I was only willing to put on versions of this outfit – a loose fitting tank and shorts. I didn’t even want to wear jewelry, besides my watch, because it was just so dang hot. But, I love simple ensembles like this one, especially when the items involved are new favorites like this sweet Austin tank, combined with old standbys like these white cut-offs, which used to be Citizens of Humanity circa 2004. Howdy from Austin! I’ve been in this lovely little town (my first time visiting!) since Friday and have had a blast – definitely a place I will be revisiting in the near future. Luckily, thanks to my awesome friends, I was able to grab outfit shots everyday, so I will be sharing them with you throughout the week! The weather was around 100 degrees every day, so I relied on this style of dress for an easy breezy look to keep cool while still feeling cute. When we weren’t walking around shopping and checking out the sights, we went for dips at Barton Springs and the pool at the W Austin where we stayed – always a great experience in my opinion. Thanks for a great time Austin, until next time!

An Afternoon at the Wölffer Estate

I spent the better part of last week in Montauk hanging out with some good friends of mine that I’ve known since my publishing days. We’ve made it a tradition to come out every year and it never fails to be an amazing time. Despite the rainy day we had on Thursday, we made the best of it by heading to a couple different wineries and indulging in some tastings. We ended up staying the longest at the Wölffer Estate Winery where I was able to grab a few shots near the vineyards during a quick rain intermission. Simply Bright

While down in New Orleans, I continued with my wardrobe theme of easy breezy, and on this particularly hot day, I opted for a lightweight flowy tank and swishy, swingy shorts to keep me cool while down in the bayou. And because I couldn’t really bear to wear any accessories besides a pair of sunglasses, I went for bright on bright to keep things fresh and fun. Happy almost 4th of July! xo

I’ve been down in New Orleans for for the past week celebrating my Birthday with my dear friends, Keiko, Kim, Helena, Lindsey. The weather was incredibly hot and humid the whole time, and day I wore this dress it had reached a high of 107 degrees. Needless to say, that level of heat doesn’t allow for much layering or jewelry, so I kept this look clean, simple and pretty in pink. I will be sharing more on my trip next week, but for now I want to wish you all a happy and relaxing weekend! xo

Snapshots from Paris

Greetings from Paris! I’ve been traveling since last Friday, so I apologize for the scattered posts this week. Right now, I’m in Paris with my best friend and we truly have been having the best week together. I’ve known her since I was seven and it’s been such a breath of fresh air to spend some quality time with her, in Paris no less.
