As a Pacific Northwest native, I would often go camping with my family during the summer and we would always end the evening by sitting around a campfire making S’mores. I feel like most people have some sort of nostalgic connection to this sweet treat, as well as HERSHEY’S Milk chocolate because it’s one of the main (and best, in my opinion) ingredients in making an excellent S’more. The melted chocolate was always my favorite part and I would often sneak extra squares when no one was looking.
But now that I live in a New York apartment, it’s not that easy to just whip up a good ol’ fashioned S’more over a fire pit anymore, so sometimes I have to get a little creative when I’m making them. By the way, did you know that Hershey’s is an official sponsor of Team USA for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games? Well, in honor of the occasion, Casey and I brought everything we needed to make S’mores over at my friend’s house (they have a backyard!) to watch the Opening Ceremony tonight. There really isn’t a more perfect American summer treat! We barbecued, played lawn games and caught up with friends we haven’t seen in a while – it was so fun! I even brought along a variety of festive Hershey’s products, complete with Team USA-themed packaging.
