Yesterday was Casey’s last day in Seattle so I wanted to make sure we had a fun Seattle-centric day. After breakfast, we drove over to Gas Works Park and took in the skyline, which was pretty incredible. The sun was shining and it was chilly out but overall pretty perfect weather considering that it’s freezing and snowing in other parts of the country right now. After that, we headed to University Village for lunch, then came home for a bit of work time, and then eventually back out for a little family dinner before heading to the airport (tear). I hate goodbyes, and even though I will see him next weekend, it doesn’t seem to make it any easier at the time of the actual goodbye. Does anyone else feel like that? It’s been so much fun having him over the past week and a half, I just didn’t want our mini vacation to end. Sigh.
On another note, I think I’m seeing a theme here with all my monochromatic outfits I’ve been wearing as of late. :) Today’s look started with these blue suede pumps from Nine West. I have been holding onto them for a while now but always struggled with how I wanted to style them. Finally, I just picked them up and started pulling together other blue items I had with me on this trip, and voila! This is what came out of it. I grabbed my beloved Mariners hat on the way out the door to add a playful yet casual touch to the overall look.

I hope getting back into the swing of things this week hasn’t been too rough on you and that you all have super fun weekend plans. I will be watching the Seahawks play tomorrow and then hopefully just having a relaxing Sunday at home with Barney, my parents and the Hallmark Channel. (No judgement!)
Sending love and good energy to you guys – thanks for being there. xo

My earrings were a gift from Bauble Bar.
Casey and I drove up to Bellingham yesterday to visit my old college campus, Western Washington University (I also went to Fairhaven College for those of you that are familiar with the schools), which was so much fun and definitely a walk down memory lane for me. The town is only about an hour and a half away from Seattle, so we decided to take a little trip up there to show him my old stomping grounds. Luckily it was beautiful out and we caught some amazing views along the way and down by the water. One of my favorite parks between Bellingham and Fairhaven is called Boulevard Park. I’ll let the photo below speak for itself. :)
I found the “evil eye” necklace at a little boutique in Marblehead, Mass. back in November, and Casey bought me the giraffe necklace for Christmas. :)
The scenic view during the ride up Chuckanut Drive.

Hi everyone! How was your holiday? I’ve been in heaven here, spending the past two weeks enjoying quality time with my family, seeing good friends and cuddling with my favorite pup, Barney.
One of my favorite things to do when at home in Seattle is to visit an area called Richmond Beach, which is where I grew up. My friend Steph and I drove down there last week and took in the beautiful view and reminisced about being 17, driving around listening to music and talking about boys.
There is something about being next to a large body of water (more specifically, the ocean) that is so calming to me. I could sit on a piece of driftwood for hours, with this view in front of me, and be as happy as a clam.

Hi guys, happy Monday! Hope everyone’s weekend was great. I spent mine relaxing with my family and catching up with friends. It feels so good to be home.
My Dad shot these photos for me when we were out and about running errands in Fremont. I thought this wall mural was a nice, colorful change and felt like it contrasted nicely with my mostly grey and blue outfit, which now brings me to my look.
So, I had my eye on these grey leather pants and finally was able to snag them due to them being heavily on sale and some unused credit at Shopbop. They are so comfortable and such a pretty color. I actually took them to the tailor to get them shortened, right after photographing them, and can’t wait to get them back in a few weeks. I have a feeling they will be in heavy rotation over the next couple of months.
My new, most favorite flats…The Modern Loafer in Midnight by Everlane.
They are super comfortable and really well made. The leather is soft and flexible but also weather resilient at the same time. I absolutely love them and am currently on the wait list for the burgundy, and black version as well.
Have a happy week! xoxo

Happy Tuesday, everyone! I am so excited because I am flying to Seattle today for the holidays. I can’t wait to see my friends, family and of course, Barney! I packed this skirt with me and plan on wearing it on New Year’s Eve with Casey. Not sure what we are doing yet, but regardless, I always like to dress up a bit and this number is the perfect piece to work into my outfit. The tiny scallops, box pleats and silvery fabric add a festive touch and gives off a sweet and feminine vibe, which I really like. Anyway, I thought it would be fun to show you easy ways to style it up, simply by changing out the top and necklace, creating two different fun and festive looks!

During the winter months I live in some sort of puffy sleeping bag coat that covers up anything cute I might be wearing underneath and doesn’t really allow for a lot of bangles or bracelet stacking, since they tend to get caught up in the sleeve while I’m removing my coat. With that said, I find myself wearing less and less jewelry as it gets colder but I still like to have at least one pretty and classic piece on, which ends up being a watch of some sort. When Movado approached me about their holiday program, I jumped at the chance to style up a piece from their collection since I am a huge fan of the brand. I styled up their Movado Museum Wrap watch, which is made of stainless steel with a white mother-of-pearl Museum dial and Swiss quartz movement. It’s such an elegant and versatile piece and can be worn alone or stacked with delicate bangles.
