These glasses are a lot of fun to wear, let me tell you. I don’t feel or think I look different when I have them on while walking down the street, but then I remember that I am in fact wearing sunglasses with seriously reflective pinkish-yellow lens and no one can see my eyes. Not even if they tried. I’ll be honest, they sort of make me feel like a superhero – invincible and ready to take on the world. xo
Moonlighting In Morocco: Casablanca (photo heavy post!)
Last week I was one lucky girl and hopped aboard a plane to Casablanca, Morocco as a guest of the Morocco Tourism Board to attend the Festi Mode Casablanca Fashion week with Jules, Lindsey and Natalie. We spent the first day in Casablanca enjoying breakfast by the sea, then heading over to the outdoor markets to browse for bags, jewelry and to take in all the scenery. I remember being unsure about what to wear so I opted for a long, printed maxi and a lightweight sweater since the weather was a bit chilly at times.

I was so tempted to buy a little rug! The men that showed us all the traditional weaves were so friendly and greeted us with traditional sweet mint Moroccan tea.
Spotted this kitty just hanging out in the markets. It sat as still as can be no matter how close we got – such a good model!
I’m slightly obsessed with old, interesting doors and always take lots of photos of them wherever I am. I hope to one day have a wall of them from all the places I’ve traveled.
Bags and knick knacks galore! We wandered through many shops and I ended up finding a pretty cognac leather bag, two scarves, a bronze bowl to hold my jewelry and and a pretty purple tea glass.

Day two, we ate breakfast outside again, made a quick trip to Zara (!) where I bought a black blazer with leather sleeves and then headed to the main Mosque, which is actually one of the largest in the world (according to our incredible guide, Hassan!). Apparently, the structure isn’t very old, but geez, will the architecture take your breath away. It was a very humbling and amazing experience to be inside and out looking around.
One of my favorite shots taken inside the Mosque.
I gravitated towards flowy dresses and pants for most of the trip and had a little fun with pattern mixing on this particular day. I also brought a bright, neon yellow scarf for a pop of color.
Where all the fashion shows took place. We attended about three shows every night – one where we were sat front row!
Again, such pretty doors!
More to come on the second leg of my trip to Oualidia, Morocco, so stay tuned!

For those of you just joining, a few weeks ago, there was an event in LA to see the Isaac Mizrahi x Chevy fashion show. The items have only been available on LivingSocial, but now you have a chance to win them here! I decided to break the giveaway into two rounds, so first I will be selecting one winner to win this blue tote and red moccasins and the second, which will take place on Monday, the winner will get the red skinny jeans and blue blouse! Please leave a comment below with your email to enter. Good luck!
(Please note, the sizes were sent to me beforehand due to high sell out risk, so unfortunately the sizes I’m listing are the ones the winners will receive. Sorry for any inconvenience! Winner 1: Blue Double Handle Tote Bag (shown above) and Blue Blouse (size M)

Lately I seem to be obsessed with orange. This bright pumpkin color seems to really works all year around and I love how it’s so bold that it almost becomes a neutral in itself – something that you start pairing with everything. I know I plan to! xo
come together, right now

When there are this many beautiful leaves on the ground, the obvious thing to do is to pick them up and throw them in the air in celebration of Fall, right?! So, I’m back in New York now, and the weather is very different from Seattle. It was freezing when I stepped off the plane at 6am yesterday morning, but it was bright and sunny and the city felt hopeful. I feel so incredible lucky that my apartment, for the most part, was spared from the storm, but my thoughts are constantly with the people less fortunate. And, since I am traveling a lot over the next two months and am not around to physically help out, I have been trying to figure an alternative option. There is Red Cross, which is great, but when I saw this list that my dear friend Keiko Lynn posted on her blog (see below) I jumped at the chance to donate, and to share it with you all. Because every bit counts. xo
- Volunteer on site or at a local shelter, or donate supplies. This site is a great hub for volunteer and donation information – and you can find up to the minute updates on their twitter @occupysandy. If you don’t have a car, they arrange transportation from specific locations. If you want to donate supplies, check the lists for needed items – they’re updated regularly.
- Donate to help feed hot meals through NYC food trucks. They’ve been driving to badly affected areas and feeding hot meals to thousands of hungry people who were affected by the hurricane. With this crazy cold weather, canned goods aren’t going to cut it. Give the gift of a hot meal.
- Donate to Masbia soup kitchen. They’re feeding the seniors at the Park Slope Armory, as well as other locations. They also feed people in need, year round.
- Donate to Robin Hood’s Sandy Relief Fund. They support over 200 of the best NYC programs to fight poverty year round and are transparent about their costs; they have a four star rating on charity navigator. Your donations will go toward relief for hurricane victims, and they’ll see to it that it will go where it’s needed most. You can also view a list of the programs they support here.
- Organize a fundraiser, bake sale, or at least share links of twitter and facebook! Keiko’s cousin Shana and a group of volunteers (parents and children alike) were able to raise over $6,000 for Masbia with a couple of bake sales near Prospect Park.
