Last week I decided to change my hair color and go super dark. I am loving my new rich shade, which is perfect for fall and winter (photos to come tomorrow), but definitely loved my lighter locks that I had all summer long.

Finally wore this awesomely patterned, retro-esque Ali Ro dress while running errands in the West Village with my Mom. We decided to walk down Perry to enjoy the scenery, when we ran into Kim and Alicia. I love how New York can feel so big but so small at the same time. xo

On Tuesday night, I had the extraordinary pleasure to meet the one and only Diane Von Furstenberg. The evening began at the Wonderland Beauty Parlor where we were pampered with blow outs and champagne. Then we walked over to the DVF offices a block up in the Meat Packing District, where we mingled in her beautiful office, sipped more champagne, and waited to see the new collection (or so we thought). I was in the middle of a conversation with Blair when all of a sudden I saw Diane casually walk into her office and say hello. She promptly ushered us to her desk, asked us to all sit down for a chat, and we ended up talking for an hour. The conversation ranged from everything to love to hair to blogging to what it takes to be a strong and independent, successful woman. She then signed copies of her book for us, and afterward we posed on her stairwell for the beautiful photo below. It was truly a night to remember – I walked home pinching myself!

Just a few photos my Dad snapped back from when I was in Seattle earlier this month. I found this adorable dress in Ballard at a cute little vintage store called Prism, and immediately snatched it up. It totally spoke to my 14-year-old self and I knew I had to have it. I love how flowy and comfortable it is and how it doesn’t even need a belt because it has it’s very own self-sufficient tie in the back. With all that said, if you are a 90s child, you know exactly why this dress is so awesome. xo

A couple weeks ago, I wore these Paige polka dot jeans for a fun little denim remix. Now I give you part two, with these cute little white and black dotted beauties. I first came across the amazing Santa Barbara based boutique, dressed, last spring when I was in town on vacation with my parents. I instantly fell in love with everything in the store (mainly their gorgeous selection of designer handbags) so when they recently approached me about participating in a fashion style challenge with this bag, I jumped at the chance. I have loved seeing how these lovely ladies (Krystal This Time Tomorrow, Jacey of Damsel in Dior, Tara of The Wonder Girl, Audrey of Casual Glamorous, Kiara of Tobruck Ave, Lynzy of Sparkling Footsteps and Alicia of Cheetah Is The New Black) have styled it and can’t wait to see who the lucky winner will be! I am passing the bag onto our last girl (tear!) so stay tuned to see how Anna of See Jane styles this little beauty! xo
