With spring just around the corner, coupled with the fact that I’ve been in LA for the past five days, color and vibrant hues have been on my mind non stop. So you can imagine my excitement to team up with The Limited to be a part of their “Color Your World Campaign”. The task at hand? Style up three of their new colorful striped pieces. If you like what you see, you can head on over to their Facebook page, and check out the contest they are running, where you can enter to win a look from one of the four color trends each week – stripes (that’s me!), tonal, bold or pop! Have fun and good luck! xo

An unexpected pairing, but sometimes those can be my very favorite looks. I want to give a little shout out to my Dad for taking my outfit photos for the past month and a half while I’ve been home in Seattle. Well, I’m off to LA – see you soon! xo
***Dad – you are an awesome photographer with a great eye. Thank you for your enthusiam, patience, and support – I have had so much fun taking photos with you. I love you!

These photos were actually taken a few days ago when there was still snow on the ground, but now it’s all melted away and Seattle is due for back to back rainy days. Tomorrow I am off to LA, where I’m meeting up with Helena for a mini trip – half work, half play – and couldn’t be more excited about the 75 degree forecast set for the rest of the week. Hurrah for sunshine and warm weather in January! xo

Item #4 of the Forward Fashion Project! (See how I wore items 1 and 2 here.) When I saw Alicia wearing these amazing Elizabeth and James pants on her blog, I couldn’t wait for them to come my way. I loved how she opted for pastels, but I decided to take a different approach and play up the bold pattern by mixing the floral with stripes (one of my favorite combinations). Then to draw out the rich rust color in the pants, I went with this smilar colored vest from Zara. To see how else these babies have been worn, head on over to the Forward Fashion Project website and take a look!

My throw might look weak, but trust me, I nailed my Dad square in the chest. Just sayin’…
All I have to say is, it snowed in Seattle, so how about that…
I had been on the hunt for the perfect long, black, faux fur vest for a while, but every time I came across one it was either too short, too expensive or looked too gorilla-like. Enter Topshop.com, where I found this pretty gilet, which is not only the perfect length, but it has pockets and is insanely soft. An excellent trifecta if you ask me. xo
Another way I wear gingham…
