A Nod To The 70s…

I think I bought these overalls at Zara about two years ago and never wore them until now! They were super long, and I don’t know about you, but sometimes it takes me forever to get my jeans or pants hemmed. I finally got them taken up a few inches and figured it was time to break them out and style them up. My favorite part is the braided waist band – that combined with the wide leg feels so 70s and I love it. Click through to see more photos!

How To Winterize A Spring Dress

Since it’s still too chilly to wear any kind of spring dress without layers, I decided I would see if I could winterize this Bishop & Young dress by adding a turtleneck underneath of it and a pair of OTK boots. Luckily it wasn’t freezing on the day that we shot this look so I didn’t need tights, but I think a black pair would look super cute as well and you could swap out the tall boots with a pair of booties if that’s more your style.Read more

Light Pink x Forest Green

So you remember when I wrote about my favorite $20 sweater? Well I now own it in four colors! I guess when I find something I like, I tend to buy it it multiple color ways if I can. It’s super soft and slightly boxy, which I’ve found works well with higher waisted jeans. I have also been loving forest green with pink lately and decided with this combo, I would pair it with my favorite camel coat I bought from J.Crew. What do you guys think of the color combo? The Perfect Snow Shoe: Sorel Caribou Boots

Isn’t it crazy to think that there was just a ton of snow on the ground not that long ago and now tomorrow is going to be 62 degrees! We took these photos a day or two after it snowed and although it was beginning to melt, there was still a decent amount of slush on the ground. These boots are my go-to when winter weather occurs because you can walk through anything (rain, snow, sleet and slush) and your feet will stay warm and dry! They are on the heavier side, but you get used to them pretty quickly and it’s totally worth it during the winter.

I love pairing camel and stripes together and normally would wear black or regular denim, but for this look I decided to go the chino route and wore these light green khakis instead. Also, somehow I feel like these boots pull the whole outfit together in a completely different way than a regular bootie, sneaker or heel would, don’t you think? Plus, I actually got to wear the boots for these photos, which was nice, instead of carrying them around like I did here. :)

I always love a monochromatic look – there is just something so clean and chic about it, don’t you think? I also love wearing white in the winter, which I feel is refreshing in a way, especially if the weather outside is dark and drab. I originally bought this sweater in black and loved it so much that I bought it in this pretty gray color, which has quickly become one of my favorite pieces I own. It’s a little low in the front so I usually layer with a silk tank. It’s hard to tell in these photos but if you look closely you can see the lace peeking out on the side.
