Outfit Remix: New Jumper

Remember this jumper? Well, last weekend, I wore this outfit to a fun BBQ at my friend’s new house. As much as I love the jumper by itself, I wanted to give it a more casual, understated look, so I slipped it on underneath a pair of my Dad’s old Levis that I stole and made into super comfy cut-offs. Bonus: Because the material of the jumper is so thin, it fits well underneath the jeans and doesn’t bunch up. I was comfy and cool all night!

New Jumper!

Here is another great find that I picked up from Buffalo Exchange. This was one of their new pieces and it has quickly become a new favorite of mine. It is super soft and comfy and I love the bright colors against the muted gray.

My Outfit: Margarita Night!

The other night my family and I went over to my Godmother’s house for margaritas, BBQ’ed shrimp and warm brownies. Since I am slightly obsessed with this striped dress, I once again, threw it on, tucked it into black jeans and added yellow as a pop of color, except this time in the form of a belt. I didn’t have time to photograph my outfit in my usual spot, so my Mom was kind enough to snap a shot on our way to dinner. It was comfy and caual for a fun dinner with family and friends outside on the deck. Perfect night with yummy margs! Thanks Pam!

Outfit Remix: Striped Dress

Yesterday, I wore the striped dress as an actual dress, fairly dressed down and casual, but today I wanted to show it a different way—dressed up and as a top. I was pleasantly surprised by the outcome of these photographs. I love the way they look with the lighting and the still life-esque quality.

Outfit Remix: One Skirt, Three Ways

Can you tell I had a lot of fun playing and remixing this skirt/top? After I wore it the second time (photo on the right) in a more causal manner, I wanted to see if I could dress it up as top and make it possible to wear out to a fancy occasion. I think the newest creation (at the very top) would be perfect for a night out to the Opera or Ballet or maybe to a fancy dinner with a special someone. What do you think? Do you have a favorite out of these three looks? Is there one particular style that resinates with you? And, lastly, if it were up to you, how would you wear this skirt and with what? My Outfit: Flower Child

Happy Monday dearies! Today is my good friend Allison’s Birthday as well as my cousin Alison’s Birthday! So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIRLS!

What did you all do this past weekend? I went and saw Julie and Julia with my parents and then drank wine, ate crepes and played skee ball with my BFF and her husband. Overall, a very lovely, relaxing weekend.

As for this morning’s outfit, does anyone recognize this brightly colored top? It is in fact the tunic from Greece that I wore on Friday! The weather has been on the cool side, but still warm enough to wear a skirt, so I decided to tuck the tunic in and see how it would fare as a blouse.
