As a Pacific Northwest native, I would often go camping with my family during the summer and we would always end the evening by sitting around a campfire making S’mores. I feel like most people have some sort of nostalgic connection to this sweet treat, as well as HERSHEY’S Milk chocolate because it’s one of the main (and best, in my opinion) ingredients in making an excellent S’more. The melted chocolate was always my favorite part and I would often sneak extra squares when no one was looking.
But now that I live in a New York apartment, it’s not that easy to just whip up a good ol’ fashioned S’more over a fire pit anymore, so sometimes I have to get a little creative when I’m making them. By the way, did you know that Hershey’s is an official sponsor of Team USA for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games? Well, in honor of the occasion, Casey and I brought everything we needed to make S’mores over at my friend’s house (they have a backyard!) to watch the Opening Ceremony tonight. There really isn’t a more perfect American summer treat! We barbecued, played lawn games and caught up with friends we haven’t seen in a while – it was so fun! I even brought along a variety of festive Hershey’s products, complete with Team USA-themed packaging. When it was time to head back inside to watch the Games, we made a bunch of S’mores to bring inside with us to snack on while we cheered on our country. In honor of National S’mores Day on August 10th one lucky reader can win an awesome S’mores Kit complete with everything you’ll need to make them at home including HERSHEY’S Milk chocolate, graham crackers, marshmallows, roasting sticks and a burner. See below how you can enter to win! After using this handy little appliance for an evening, I can attest to the fact that it’s the perfect summer must-have for entertaining family and friends, especially if you don’t have your own fire pit or grill! We actually used it outside and just grabbed an extension cord to reach all the way out on the patio. Easy peasy! How to Enter: Are you guys watching the Olympic Games? I don’t know about you, but I can’t imagine being an Olympian and being in Rio for such an incredible accomplishment. How amazing right? But I know that they definitely give up a lot to get there and spend a lot of time away from best friends, family and loved ones to pursue their dreams. I would love to ask you guys to join in to show your support for Team USA by entering this giveaway and Tweeting ‘hello’s’ from home and other messages of support to the athletes using the hashtag #HelloFromHome, and tagging @hersheys, and @TeamUSA. GO TEAM USA! xoxo

Pineapple Habanero Breakfast Smoothie
Hello and happy Wednesday!
Lately I have really been into using my Vitamix to make morning and afternoon smoothies, and today on Instagram I teamed up with Noosa Yoghurt to feature their new Sweet Heat flavors to share how I like to shake up my breakfast routine. I created a smoothie recipe around their Pineapple Habanero flavor and had so much fun creating it, I thought it would be fun to document the process of making it as well.
This smoothie is very filling and slightly higher in calories because of the added coconut milk, so I tend to use it as a breakfast meal replacement after a morning workout. But feel free to alter the ingredients as you see fit and if you are in the mood to add in some more nutrients, I suggest tossing in some greens like spinach or kale.
Mango-Pineapple Habanero Breakfast Smoothie:
Appliance needed:
I use a Vitamix but a NutriBullet works too!
Ingredients:
1 8oz tub of Noosa Pineapple Habanero Yoghurt
1 small banana
1/2 cup frozen mango
1/2 cup frozen pineapple
1/2 canned coconut milk
Add a few chunks of frozen pineapple on top for fun!
I hope you enjoyed this and let me know in the comments below if you want me to make more videos like this one.

Fun Things To Do In New York In August
Wine Wednesday with Chloe Rosé Wine
I was first introduced to Chloe Wine at a “Dinner in White” popup event in Brooklyn at Prospect Park this past June and really enjoyed their rosé, so I thought it would be fun to feature it for my second Wine Wednesday series!
Summer Style: Transitional Workwear
I have been a fan of ModCloth ever since I started blogging, which was back in 2008. I eventually began working with the brand shortly after that (they even named a dress after me!) and they were the first company to run an ad on my site, which is so cool to think about. Needless to say I have a great relationship with them and am so excited to partner with them again! So let’s dive right in. Today’s topic is: workwear! Although I don’t technically have to go into an office everyday, I often have meetings with clients and brands, so when I need to look a bit more professional, I like to have easy, go-to dresses that I can slip on and look put together in minutes.
This dress is a perfect example because the striped pattern acts as the main focal point, allowing for simple accessories that can quickly be swapped out depending on what your post-work plans might be. In this case, I chose to wear these cute neutral booties (shop similar styles here) with the dress to give it an understated vibe that didn’t feel too fussy. But you could easily dress up this look by wearing open toed sandals and a clutch or dress it down by wearing cute flats and a leather tote.

And speaking of totes, this particular one is my new fave. I love that it has three separate compartments that comfortably fit my computer, iPad, wallet, camera and anything else I might need for the day. Plus I love the mixed materials of canvas and leather – it really gives the bag a polished feel.
I am always advising my clients on where to find great work pieces that are versatile and cute, so I would love to know where you guys shop for your work clothing? Are you familiar with ModCloth’s awesome workwear options? If you have a few more minutes, shop around the site to find some more cute shoes, tops and bottoms for the office!

Summer Style: Jersey Knit Jumpsuit
With this crazy heatwave we have been experiencing in New York, I’ve hardly been able to bring myself to blow dry my hair, put on makeup or wear anything but a tank top and shorts. So to beat the heat, I’ve been embracing a more au natural look and only using a handful of beauty products, which include…
Bringing It Back To The Basics
Karen Walker Sunglasses | J.Crew Button Down | Levi’s Cutoffs (used to be my Dad’s jeans) | Mossimo Sandals via Target | UGG Clutch (gift – old)
I cleaned out my closet yesterday (again) and as I sifted through all my clothing, I realized the older I get the more I’m drawn to classic pieces – as in items I will have for a while and not get sick of within a year.
This would be an outfit that I definitely throw on when I’m “off-duty” so I decided to share it with you guys hoping you’ll share your go-to outfits with me!
