Pretty in print.
Saturday was my dear friend N’s birthday party and the theme was 1970’s. I am loving N’s dress—doesn’t she look so pretty on her special day? Even though we didn’t exactly go all out with costumes, we did opt for bright, loud florals and bold prints. In a rush to find something to wear, I skimmed F21 earlier in the day and found this dress for only $25, which is now my new favorite spring/summer maxi. To rev up the 70’s vibe, I wore lots of gold bracelets and rings, parted my hair down the middle, slipped into a pair of wooden platforms and I was ready to roll. All in all, a really fun party! What did you all do this weekend? Do tell! I would love to know! SPxx
Wish List: Sweet finds at Santoki Vintage
Santoki Vintage continues to remain one of my favorite vintage stores on Etsy. Remember all of these hot little items, and these buttery leather flats? Well, I was bittersweetly reminded of this fact today as I perused one lovely dress after another, and drooled over many pairs of polished leather boots. Such great finds and everything always looks in great condition, plus the prices are affordable as well!
I think this boyfriend blazer paired with this flowery dress and these lace-up granny boots would create an interesting dynamic when worn all together. The no-nonense style of the jacket and shoes would balance out the bold, floral print of the dress, creating a funky yet still very feminine look. I am also digging these gorgeous riding boots, and this pretty striped jumper!
Ruffled.
Me at my best friend’s wedding in Hawaii.
I was chatting with my friend S today and she was telling me about her best friend’s wedding she is attending in Mexico. Her question was whether or not this dress from Marc by Marc Jacobs was appropriate or “good enough” to wear to the ceremony. I told her I think it will work perfectly and is a lovely choice for the occasion. I love anything with a ruffle, and the color reminded me of the dress I wore to my best friend’s wedding last March. What do you think of the Marc Jacob’s dress? Are you a fan of ruffles or are you still on the fence? Do tell, I would love to know!
I love me some Larimeloom
I came across this knitting wonder by way of A Cup of Jo, my favorite blog, and Nonpareil, which is a cool indie style blog. To see all of Larimeloom’s amazing creations, click here!
I am currently coveting this gorgeous homemade grey corsetted bustier. I love how it looks layered over that dark gray tank. So sexy and enticing, yet classy at the same time.
Her grey off-the-shoulder dress just makes me drool.

What are you doing New Year’s Eve?
Photo from We Heart It via LOOKBOOK
Good morning my Lovelies, and HAPPY NEW YEAR’S EVE! Any hot plans to paint the town red tonight, or are you going to have a nice, quiet night in? Are you dressing yourselves to the nines, or opting for slippers and pajamas? I would love to know! Also, what do you think about house parties vs. bar or club parties? I myself, will be popping around town to a few different house parties before finally settling somewhere downtown at a low-key bar with friends. But, we will see because you never know where the night might go!
P.S. I love this girl’s outfit…the layered camis, the braided belt, and of course, her nerd chic glasses. Let’s be honest, we all know how I feel about that awesome trend…
Love to you all my dears, and I wish you a very happy, special and safe night! Cheers! SPxx
The holidays are upon us!
Previously, I had you dear readers, tell me which outfit you might wear to a holiday party. Well, tonight is the boyf’s work party and I am hoping to get all gussied up. I have decided to go with the “sweet” option and donne a strapless black dress with light pink accents. I am also bring a sweet dessert as well, so it should be very fun and festive indeed! What are you all doing for the holidays? Any fun parties or soirees? Would love to hear! SPxx
A dressy affair…which outfit would you wear?
Tis the season to be dressy, fa-la-la-la-laa-la-laaaa-la-laaaaa-holiday parties!
The boyf’s soiree is this Friday and I need something to wear. So, I pulled these three ensembles together to get your opinion. Which one is your favorite? Which one would you wear to your BF’s holiday party, or would you save one of these looks for another type of gathering? I would love to know your thoughts! Spxx
