Luckily the shirt I wore with black pants earlier in the night, was actually more like a shirt-dress or “shress” as my friend Heather calls it, and, although it was on the shorter side, it definitely passed. It worked well because it was a warm evening and a night out dancing in polyester-blend pants that don’t breathe can just about do you in! So, I just stored my pants in my bag and 0ff I went!
Sweet Sunshine
Happy Monday! Wow, last week was a such whirlwind of amazing fashion shows, parties and friends. I had a blast but by the time Friday came, I was plain exhausted and needed a day to recoup, so I’m sorry for not posting. But, I’m back, refreshed and ready to take on the week. So, yesterday, I got my hair cut—shorter bangs and more layers—and then spent a lovely day with my good friend, Liz, laying out in the sun, catching up, and then later eating ice cream, and then sushi…in that order. Just what the doctor ordered. What did you do this weekend?

Street Style: Lex
I am often inspired by my friend’s style and love to share their outfits. Today I would like to feature my dear friend Lex and her individual style and finesse. I love how she puts things together and I believe her to be the only person I know that can wear two completely different earrings and make it look like it wasn’t a mistake. She can also show up to a casual bar wearing an almost entirely pink outfit—dress, nails, shoes—and not look like she is trying too hard, or resembles a pink cupcake. In this case, this outfit is one of her more causal looks, but is just as put together as anything else she might wear. I am loving her shoes—a present from her awesome boyf—and I like how she pairs different metals and jewels together. All in all, super cute and stylish, yet casual and comfortable.
And, for fun, here are a few more shots of Brooklyn and Manhattan on Saturday. Wasn’t it just lovely out? What did you all do this weekend?
What They Wore: Inspired Style
This past weekend, I attended my friend Ayn-Monique’s Birthday party…(she is the one in the plaid dress). I loved what a bunch of my friends were wearing, so I decided to document it. Each girl definitely has her own style and I think it’s safe to say it shines through in each photo. What I love the most is, in each outfit, there are styles and trends that I want to incorporate into my own wardrobe: peter pan collars, patterns and plaids, cut off shorts, and of course, stripes! Thanks ladies, for being my style muses for the day!
Happy Friday!
Happy Friday! I thought this postcard was cute, however it is not exactly bright and sunny here in Sag Harbor this morning, but I am in no way complaining. I love being out here. It may be pouring, but I have a view of a beautiful inlet and can just see the beach just slightly beyond. I am here with friends, family (okay, my friend’s family) and two dogs. Just sipping my coffee, about to eat some yummy breakfast. Yup, pretty happy! Now I just wish MY Mom and Dad were here! Anyway, I hope you are all enjoying your Friday and that you have a wonderful weekend! Cheers~SPx

Recap: Katy Perry, and The Daylights
Me and my roomie at The Fillmore @ Irving Plaza!
Thanks for the phots H!
My ears are still ringing and my the backs of knees are a tad sore from standing and jumping around for 4 1/2 hours, but it was well worth every second. Not only was Miss Perry incredibly funny on the mic in-between songs, but her outfits were perfectly flamboyant and her voice was beyond impressive. I must admit that going into the concert, I didn’t know very many of her songs, but I loved the ones that I did know and I thought she was adorable. And, not to worry, I have now downloaded her entire album from iTunes and will be rocking out to her all day today.Read more
