I wore this to a meeting with Echo (more to come on that soon!) and then to a client session uptown earlier this week. Monday threatened rain all day, but thankfully it never delivered. Regardless I was happy to be wearing these rain-friendly booties I scooped up at the Gap last year. They are super comfy and versatile, which is exactly what one needs when running around the city on a grey, overcast day. Hope you all are having a lovely week! xo
Trip To LA: Gap 1969 Studio
Finally, a peek into the Gap 1969 Design Studio, where the magic happens. I tried to capture all the greatness, but I don’t think these photos do it justice. It was so inspiring to walk into such a spacious and beautiful loft, full of such talented people, everyone so excited to talk about the brand and what they were working on.
I have to say I really loved all the pieces I saw for fall and can’t wait for my cute taupe skinny cords to arrive in the mail! Thank you again to Gap and Vogue for hosting this amazing opportunity. I had an incredible time. xoxo
P.S. Ann from the wonderful blog, Holier Than Now was on the trip as well (love her!) and did a fantastic job creating a great collage of the whole event as well as taking beautiful photographs inside the studio. Check them out here!
Trip To LA: Mondrian Los Angeles
{ My large comfy bed that looked out at onto an impressive view of LA }
{ The beautiful pool and lounge area at the Mondrian Los Angeles Hotel }
{ Styling my new H&M shorts, two different ways }
I arrived in LA a day early before everything took place, so I was lucky enough to indulge in some relaxation time at my luxurious accommodations, the Mondrian Los Angeles Hotel. I spent some much needed R&R at the pool and took a walk (!) down Sunset Boulevard to see what I could see. I have to admit it was a little strange to see so few people on the street after being very used to the hustle bustle of New York’s crowded sidewalks. But, I quickly adapted and soaked up the perfect sunny weather, did a little shopping and then met a good friend for dinner and drinks later that evening at the Hollywood Roosevelt. For those of you just joining us, this is what I wore.
Stay tuned for the final recap and photos from the Gap event, tomorrow! xoxo

More to come on why I am in LA, but right now I just want to share that I am enjoying the west coast and am looking forward to a very fun event, which is taking place today! However, this is what I wore last night to drinks and dinner at the Hollywood Roosevelt. Amazing place, folks. I was a huge fan and definitely recommend you check it out the next time you are in LA! xoxo
My Outfit: Throwback
RayBan Aviators / Charlotte Russe Necklace / Apart Faux-Fur Reversible Vest /Trouve Knit Sweater (from Nordstrom} / Gap Jeans / Coach Bag (c/o) / Aldo Shoes (c/o)
My Dad took these photos back in December when it was actually warm enough to shoot without a coat on! He actually helped me pose and said I looked like I was right out of the 70s. I took that as a very big compliment and let him direct me to get the right “70s” look (glasses down on nose, stand with a slight slouch, give me a smirk etc.) however he thought best. Thanks for everything, Dad! xoxo
