The Kipling Diaries: skipping town
Zara Jacket, Top, Leggings and Boots / Coach Watch (c/o) / Delphine Kipling Bag (c/o)
After living in New York for eight years and working for myself for the past four, I find that taking breaks from the city helps me feel more grounded and centered when things get a little too hectic. So, my remedy tends to be to head home to Seattle as much as I can, and because of my flexible schedule it allows me to see my family and friends more often than not, which is pretty great in my mind. :)
And speaking of flying home, I am headed to Washington on tomorrow for a quick reprieve and am bringing this handy Kipling cross-body with me. I love a trusty and wearable bag that can withstand the daily wear and tear I impose on it since I tend to be fairly hard on my bags – poor things. Plus when traveling, everyone needs a bag with easy-to-get-to compartments for necessary items, such as a place for their licence, debit card, phone and keys, that you can grab at a moments notice. Check out all the other great cross body bags that Kipling as has to offer, here!

The Kipling Diaries: Upstate New York

As a child growing up in the 90s, I remember Kipling bags as the brand of bag to have. Now, years later, I have the pleasure to work with the brand and integrate pieces of the collection into my style as an adult. For the next month, I will be styling up a different Kipling bag every week that work with all the different aspects of my life. Whether it’s heading out of the city for a weekend or traveling back to Seattle, I have found these bags to be convenient, versatile and very resilient against daily wear and tear.
For this look, I took this fall-appropriate, hunter green Pahniero bag with me upstate a few weeks ago to spend some much needed R&R with friends. I loved that I could stuff this tote full of everything I needed for a day of hanging out, taking long walks and soaking up the beautiful scenery upstate. I also loved that I could do whatever I wanted to this bag and it remained resilient to the mud and occasional rain we experienced. I just wiped it off and it was good as new!
Just hanging out on a gigantic tractor. No big deal.
