How ingenious is this?! This crafty girl made a dress out of two plain, button down shirts. I am dying to try this out. I think in order to make sure you are covered up enough, it might be best to use two oversized men’s shirts. Cute!
Currently Coveting: The Sash from American Apparel
I love how AA always shows a million different ways to wear their items. It is so creative and inspiring…it really helps me look at some of the sort of basic and simple items in my closet in a different and more interesting way. What do you think about this sash? And, isn’t this girl’s outfit so cute? I think I definitely need to add this awesome acessory to my wardrobe. Lucky for me there is one around the corner from my apartment. Next stop: American Apparel!
Avedon Fashion: 1944-2000
I just read on Cool Hunting about an awesome exhibit that is coming to the International Center of Photography. The showcase will be the most comprehensive exploration to date of Avedon’s fashion photography during his extensive career at Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue, The New Yorker, and beyond. It will run from May 15th to September 6th. I will so be there. How exciting, I can’t wait!

I didn’t get around to posting a Mother’s Day entry yesterday, so am making up for it today! I love this last photo. Check out those dresses! This is my mom and my lovely Grandmother, Rita. She passed away when I was 14 and I miss her all the time.

Pretty.
Today is one of those days. It’s sort of rainy and gray, yet weirdly humid outside. All I want to do it stay in bed and watch a good movie. And, with that said I don’t feel particularly inspired today so I thought I would just post about something that I love, which would be these pretty shoes. I heart nude-colored pumps and find that they go with almost everything.
