My Style Pill Is Turning 1!
Wow, I can’t believe a year has already flown by since I put up my very first post on My Style Pill. I feel like it has evolved a lot since last September…even the name is slightly different. It used to be called Style Pill, but back in the spring, I bought the domain mystylepill.com, which felt more personalized, so I switched the whole thing to My Style Pill. And now, here we are! Anyway, I would like say a huge thank you to my family, friends and lovely readers for supporting, believing and encouraging me over this past year. Thank you for your love, patience and enthusiasm, along with your sweet comments, interesting input and fresh ideas. I appreciate it all, you guys are the best! xoxo

School Supplies
Now that it’s September, I really need to get on top of buying my “school supplies” for fall. This year, I think they will consist of this book, plus every fashion magazine possible. I’m curious though…have any of you picked up a copy of Scott Schuman’s new book? I love his blog so I would assume the book is amazing, but do you think I should purchase it? What about fashion mags? What are your absolute faves for fall? xoxo

So, I love getting comments from you guys, and one in particular mentioned doing different looks with denim. Well, I thought about it and decided that I wanted to change my denim style up a bit. This look is a bit different for me, but still a fun and and interesting take on denim compared to how I styled my last “jean” look. Thoughts? (Keep it positive!) I am so envious of these cute girls and how they so effortlessly can pull off harem pants! When I first saw the top photo on the blog, The Glamourai, I was so taken with it and just had to share it with you all. Then, I saw Emily on Cupcakes and Cashmere looking awesome in pants from H&M, that I had JUST tried on the other day, but sadly didn’t look so great on me…shoot! I am now on the lookout for a pair that I can get away with and not look ridiculous…the search continues! Anyway, what are your thoughts on harem pants? Do you like them? Even if you would never wear them, do you like them when worn well and integrated into a cute outfit?
My Style Pill Likes: Old Soul, New Heart
How cute is this girl? Her name is Shea and she and her mom just opened up Old Soul, New Heart, a lovely handcrafted collection of vintage and feminine finds. I first read about her adorable shop on the lovely blog, A Cup of Jo. I am really LOVING their headbands, necklaces and hair do das! Go check it out!
P.S. I agree with Joanna…Shea’s lipstick is divine…she said that it’s NARS Jungle Red. I like my red lipstick, but this color is lovely. I think I might be making a stop at Sephora soon. xoxo
