This week has been quite the busy one and it’s still not over, but you’ll hear no complaining from me. It’s been a great past few days and the with the Jazz Age Lawn Party happening on Governor’s Island and some of my close friends coming into town from New Orleans, this weekend promises to bring even more fun.
Once Saturday hits, for me it’s usually brunch with friends followed by a leisurely day of strolling around downtown. But since I don’t often have a set plan for my weekend, I like to wear outfits that transition easily from day to night so I can go with the flow and stay out and about. This look, for instance, is a great example of something I would wear (I always keep a pair of flats in my bag for day strolling and then swap them out for my heels later on) and segues nicely into early drinks and dinner before heading out for the night. If I feel like I need a little freshening up, I spritz my face with this spray and apply a few layers of this bright red on my lips, and I feel good as new! xo
last june…
London.
Last June, around this time, I visited my best friend and her husband in London, where they lived for two years. We spent a couple days around town before heading to Paris for a girls weekend, then made our way to Florence and Venice where we up with her husband for a long, food and fun-filled weekend. It was such an amazing trip and I have the fondest memories from that time in my life. So, I thought it would be fun to take a look back to last year and see what I was wearing, so here is a little smattering of my outfits I wore during the trip. (All photos taken by my lovely best friend, Allison.)
Florence.
Outside the Louvre in Paris.
Rue Mouffetard in Paris.
Now that we’ve taken a stroll down memory lane, I’m excited to look ahead and think about what my aesthetic will be like this month, and throughout the rest of the summer. Are there any trends you’re loving, or styles you want to try? xo

I always love pairing two unassuming colors together that should clash, but instead end up complimenting each other. In this case, mint with a splash of neon not only makes me think of an ice cold mojito, but offers up a fresh and fun look for summer. xo
on a vineyard in sonoma
Photos by: My Dad :)
Karen Walker “Super Duper Strength” Sunglasses / J.Crew Panama Hat, Chambray Shirt and Bracelet / Giles & Brother Bracelet (c/o) / Maya Brenner Necklace / Corey Lynn Calter Tank (c/o) / Zara Shorts / Dr. Scholl’s Shoes (c/o) / Ellington Bag (c/o)
These photos were taken back in April when I was in Sonoma with my parents and I’m finally getting around to sharing them, so sorry for the delay! We stayed at this adorable little cottage on a vineyard just outside of town (my Dad always manages to find the best places) and it was the perfect reprieve from the long days of driving. During this trip I rotated between a few pairs of shorts and tanks but practically lived in this hat (as I am sure you could tell from my Instagrams), these comfy Dr. Scholl’s Shoes and this trusty cross body bag, which holds a surprising amount of stuff despite it’s size.
On another note, StyleCaster featured me along with four other awesome bloggers in their story about spring style. Check it out here!
My love.
