Outfit Remix: Black Overalls, Three Ways
Click here to see the original post from 2014.
Lately I’ve been living in overalls, and in light of my two most recent posts (click here and here), I thought it would be fun to dig up past posts to how I styled these same black overalls over the years. The funny thing is, I am wearing a different striped top in each of these looks, one year apart, unplanned of course. I guess I am a creature of habit…

Overalls, Stripes and Red Heels For The Win!
So in yesterday’s post, I styled these same black overalls but with this sheer floral blouse, which gave the look more of a feminine feel. But for the remix, I wanted to create an outfit that gave off more of a girly-tomboy vibe. Read more
Styled: Paige Bow Tie Blouse
Do you guys ever get confused on exactly how you’re supposed to style those blouses with the ties that hang down (also known as pussy bow blouses)? I think they are meant to literally be tied in a bow, but I have never felt like that look fit my style, so I decided to tweak it a bit…

Three Outfits, One Scarf!
Last week I created three outfits all based around one black silk neckerchief. I kept things simple by reusing a couple of the same pieces (such as the red pumps and olive green chinos) and then mixed in different tops and bottoms.
Takeaway tip: Even though the button down shirts I’m wearing in look two and three are the same style, because they are a different color, it gives each outfit a slightly different feel, but in an effortless way. This is a simple way to remix and get some great use out of your favorite accessories and clothing.

The Neckerchief, Part Three
And I give you, the third and final outfit wearing this black silk bandana! (Look one and two.) This time around I went for a monochromatic look, which can be tricky to put together without looking too “matchy-matchy” but I think because the three different greens aren’t too identical, it turned out alright!
