I’m currently still in Orcas Island with my family and it’s been pretty rainy and gray outside, which I am of course used to seeing that I am from Seattle. But for fun, I thought I would pull together a quick and stylish outfit to hopefully inspire you during the inevitable upcoming drippy March and April showers. xo
Style Remix: Little Tweed Dress, Five Ways
Hey guys, happy Thursday! So today’s post is all about this little tweed dress from J.Crew. I spotted it during my recent sale shopping haul and thought that it would be the perfect dress to style up and show how to wear five different ways. I know many of you have to go into an office and even though I work from home, I will have meetings where I need to look polished and professional, so I thought this dress fit the bill!
If you would like to see the video version of this remix, head on over to my YouTube channel this morning (make sure to subscribe too!) and you’ll get to see all five outfits up close and in action, plus some bonus footage where I introduce my new fur baby, Susan! xoxo

Personal Styling with Skype!
Happy Wednesday! I’m so excited to share with you a recent project I did with Skype, where I personally styled an editor, Hayley, from SheKnows to help her get ready for a date with her boyfriend. I often use Skype when styling clients that either don’t live here or that just need a quick 15 or 30 minute session, so this was a perfect way to share how this application works so well.
Below are some photos taken at Haley’s apartment – you can see me on her computer screen walking her through the process. :) I wrote a whole article for SheKnows on the experience and how I break down the styling process, which you can read HERE!
But for now, I will give you a quick rundown of how we kicked off the session.
First, she showed me her closet…
Then we discussed what pieces she wanted to start with to try and narrow down the selection a bit.
Fast forward a bit to this skirt, which we ended up creating the final outfit around.
We talked about everything from accessories to hair styles to makeup…
And this was the final look we came up with based on what items she had and loved in her closet! Overall, it was a great session and she felt styled and ready to go out on the town with her boyfriend. Win, win! xo
Read about the full process here!
P.S. If you are interested in learning more about my personal styling and Skype styling services or want to set up a session, send me an email at ccameron18@gmail.com!
J.Crew Sale Shopping Haul Video, NOW LIVE!
I finally got my new video posted! Sorry it’s a little late…I had a few minor setbacks on the backend, but we are good to go!
I’m really excited to share my first real video with you guys, which is a shopping haul from J.Crew, sharing all the things I bought (on sale plus 40 percent off!!!) and how I styled them. I can’t wait for you to check it out and let me know what you think!
Thanks for being the best readers a girl could ask for. You guys are truly awesome and I really appreicate your support. xo
Dancing Tee
Hi guys! It’s Tuesday and you know what that means…that’s right, a new YouTube video goes up today! It will be up by 12EST and I will be sharing what I picked up during a recent shopping haul from J.Crew. I shopped their sale and ended up leaving with a handful of things that were an extra 40 percent off the sale price! I love it when I luck out like that.
Anyway, I would love for you guys to check out the video, but in the meantime, I thought I would show two of the pieces that I bought (a t-shirt and scarf) and how I created a fairly simple, but cute outfit around them.
I based the look around my new grey “Dancing” tee and my favorite slouchy, boyfriend jeans from Citizens of Humanity. Next, I added a structured navy blazer from Zara (I also have this one from J.Crew and love it, plus it’s on sale right now!) and slipped on my new collegiate-looking scarf. Lastly, I finished off the look with my trusty camel overcoat from Zara (mine is from last year, but here is a similar style on sale at J.Crew) and new navy booties from IRO. The overall look is a relaxed and slouchy look perfect for the weekend.
Make sure to head on over to my YouTube channel (subscribe HERE) at 12EST to see the rest of the pieces I got and how I styled them! xo
Outfit Details:
Blazer: Zara (I also have this one from J.Crew and love it, plus it’s on sale right now!) / Tee: J.Crew / Jeans: Citizens of Humanity / Scarf: J.Crew / Coat: Zara (mine is from last year, but here is a similar style on sale at J.Crew) / Booties: IRO
Discover What You Love
Happy Monday! This past weekend was a mix of productive and fun, which felt great. I got a lot done but also had time to spend with my good friend Krystal, who was in town looking for apartments (she found one – YAY!) since she is moving here next month (double YAY)! Saturday night, Casey, Krystal and I went to Gelso & Grand to celebrate her finding a place and to indulge in their yummy pastas and pizza. I highly recommend you check this place out, and if you can have William as your server, even better. He was awesome.
Anyway, you might be wondering what this post is about, so I will get down to it. A little while back, Mary Kay asked if I would like to partner with them on a project celebrating their new microsite, Discover What You Love, which focuses on empowering women, sharing love for yourself, family and friends, and for those special things that give you meaning in life. With that in mind, I wanted to take a minute and talk about something I love, and some of the people I have met and came to love while doing it.
The something is my blogging career, which has opened up so many amazing possibilities for me and has introduced me to some pretty amazing women. And the people I would like to focus specifically on are four girls that I have come to love so much, and who have become “real” friends, not just work pals. We support each other through thick and thin, we listen to each other during the ups and downs and we believe in each other no matter what. Plus I always have a blast whenever we are together.
Below, I pulled together a collage of some photos of us over the years, along with a photo of the Brooklyn Bridge, since New York is where is all happened, plus photos of my three favorite *Mary Kay products that I have been wearing nonstop and love applying when I am out on the town with the lovely ladies below.
Photo 1: Me and Helena at a rooftop party / Photo 2: Me, Alicia and Krystal this past Fashion Week at The Ludlow Hotel / 3. Helena, me and Keiko on vacation / 4. Me and Krystal during Fashion Week three years ago / 5. The Brooklyn Bridge / 6. My favorite go-to Mary Kay products at the moment. / 7. Me and Alicia at the Nanette Lepore show / 8. My favorite go-to Mary Kay products at the moment (see listed at the bottom). / 9. Krystal and I at dinner this past weekend / 10. Helena and I goofing off at the apple orchards upstate / 11. Me, Keiko and Helena in a cab heading to an event. / 12. Keiko and me at our friend Angie’s Birthday party last year.
I first met Keiko and Krystal, five years ago at a Weardrobe Conference, Helena at a DVF shoot four years ago and Alicia at a Lucky Shopping event about three years ago. I feel so lucky to have these special girls in my life (they all know and love each other, which makes for a really fun time when we all get together) and I like to think that the quote at the very top of this post has a lot to do with it. If it weren’t for just saying a simple hello, introducing myself and seeing where it took me from there, who knows? I might not know these lovely ladies. I guess what I am saying is, in life, it’s all about taking chances, opening yourself up and allowing for the universe to work its magic.
So, here’s to strong and independent women, stimulating and rewarding careers, and supportive and amazing friendships. So go check out Mary Kay’s new microsite here and get inspired! Huzzah! xo
*The Mary Kay products shown above are: Mineral Cheek Color in Golden Copper, NouriShine Plus Lipgloss in Rock ‘n Red, Eyeliner in Black
Meet Our New Fur Baby!
Hi guys! So, I have another post coming today, which should be up around 12, but in the meantime, I wanted you all to meet my new fur baby! Yesterday, Casey and I adopted this pretty little kitty from Social Tees, located in East Village. We don’t know a lot about her back story, just that she was abandoned and left to fend for herself. :( Luckily, she was scooped up, pulled out of the kill shelter she was in and serendipitously arrived in front of us at just the right time, yesterday afternoon. They said she was one of the fastest adoptions they had ever seen because once we saw her, it took us all of two minutes to make the decision to take her home. Anyway, she is adjusting nicely and loves being pet while cuddling with us on the couch. She purrs like a little motor, and we are totally in love with her.
Here are a couple photos (who am I kidding I have like 100 on my phone) I took that I thought would be fun to share with you guys.
Oh, and we named her Susan, which has already turned into Suz, Suzy-Q and Bunny (not sure where that came from haha). xo
A Mini Closet Tour!

As some of you might know, I posted a new video on my YouTube channel yesterday. :) It’s just a quick little tour of my closet (I’m thinking of doing a more in-depth segment soon) so take a look if you have a minute! And remember, if you like what you see on my channel, you can subscribe here and see new videos every Tuesday and Thursday! YAY! xo
