I first wore this dress back in the beginning of September on the first day of the Weardrobe Conference. It was a lot warmer then, so a simple blazer and bare legs was sufficient. But, when I wore it yesterday, which was a very rainy, blustery day, the dress required a bit more, hence the layering and tights. How would you wear this dress?

My Outfit: Black Peep-toe Booties!
Voila! My other pair of peep-toe booties that I bought. They are surprisingly comfortable so I decided to wear them to run errands today. First stop is going to be American Apparel to pick up items for my Halloween costume, which I just decided on today, thanks to Krystal over at This Time Tomorrow. She mentioned that AA has costumes posted from people that have used only clothing from the store to create their outfits. I came across one that I thought was super fun and cute, so I’m finally excited about it. Do you guys have your costume picked out for this weekend?

My Outfit: Later That Night…Mustard Tights
Yep, that’s right, I did it. I finally broke out my mustard-colored tights! I must say this was a bold move for me seeing that it was my first time wearing them, so I did so by wearing them under my over-the-knee boots, which I wore earlier in the day. After I got home from the park, I did some work and then got myself ready to go out with one of my BFFs to Chinatown to a CMJ Showcase at 88 Palace. It was amazing and we danced and danced and danced all night! We met great people and listened to great music, it was so much fun! Sending out a huge thank you to Liz for inviting me out! xoxo

My Outfit: Over-the-Knee Boots!
Yesterday, on my way home from the UES, I decided to cross through the park because it was just so dang pretty out. The leaves were these brilliant mix of oranges, yellows and reds, and since my outfit was anything but colorful, I thought the juxtaposition of my black and gray ensemble against the vibrant hues of the autumn backdrop, would be really cool.
As far as these boots go, my Mom bought them for me a couple winters ago and I always used to fold them over whenever I wore them, which I thought made me sort of look like a pirate! But, after digging them out from storage, I started rocking them over the knee. This look has the potential to look cheesy or tacky, or Julia Roberts circa Pretty Woman. But, I think when styled correctly, sans fake patent leather, over the knee boots can look great. I know I am loving mine because they act as a great substitution for leggings or tights when it’s just chilly enough to still want something on your legs. What do you think about over the-knee-boots?

My Outfit: Knee Socks
After my photo shoot in the park on Sunday, I popped into H&M really quickly and was immediately taken with a pair of knee socks I saw on a one of the mannequins. I finally found them upstairs and immediately purchased them. They came two in a pack, in two different kinds of knitted patterns. I love them so much, so you can imagine my excitement to wear them for the first time. I based my entire outfit around these little knee socks, and think it’s safe to say, this is definitely a Blair Waldorf look. Maybe I should have taken photographs on the UES instead of in TriBeCa.
