It snowed a ton this week and weekend. It’s so pretty and peaceful at first.

I finally made it back to Market Table for brunch.
And ordered pretty much the same thing as last weekend. :)
On Saturday, I made it up to the Upper West Side and managed to grab a couple shots of a beautiful and snowy Central Park.

Literally covered in snowflakes!
A not-so -glamourous photo but this is what the snow looks like after it’s melted a bit. These pools of cold, deep slush are almost at every crosswalk (some larger than others) and are impossible to navigate without proper snow boots. Sigh.
I had a gift certificate at Kate Spade, so while I was uptown, I swung by the Upper East Side location for a quick look.
These bow shoes are so precious and ladylike but I ended up with a pretty gray bag and a pair of rose gold pumps instead.

Spent the night at The Ace Hotel on Saturday night. Wouldn’t you love to have this as your bathroom?
Sunday, we went the opposite direction and headed to the Lower East Side. When on Rivington, you have to visit Economy Candy. It’s quite an experience.
A slice for sustenance.

It was so cold yesterday, so after being in the elements all day, we decided to find some reprieve from the chilly weather and went to see 12 Years a Slave at The Sunshine Cinema. It was incredibly moving – I highly recommend it.
A view of East Houston from the fifth floor of the theater.
I love you, New York. xo
