Isn’t this dress so romantic and flowy looking? I am thinking about bidding on this sweet little number which can be found at Liebemarlene Vintage’s online store. I think I would style it in a similar fashion—with brown lace-up oxfords, and a shoulder bag—but would definitely add a fun belt. I think it would add an interesting touch to opt for one that brings out the slight color of the flowers on the dress. One in cherry red could be pretty. Also, on a random note, I have been trying out new ways to style my newly cut hair, which is much shorter with bangs, and the outcome looks very similar to the style shown above. I must say I am loving it!
Wish List: porkpie hat
How is it only Monday and yet I am already thinking about what I am going to wear this weekend? It is supposed to rain for the next few days and then by Saturday it should be in the 70s. I have a fun beach party to go to and want a cute hat to wear. And, with my new bangs, I think a rockin’ pork pie hat would be just the ticket.

Yay or Nay: vintage-inspired swimsuits
Would you wear this style suit for lounging poolside or soaking up sun at the beach? Cute or frumpy?

Get the look: Stylin’ in stripes
Remember my friend Amanda with the super cool nerd chic glasses? Well, she is back and looking fabulous as usual. She has this knack to pull together outfits so effortlessly—never looks like she is trying too hard, but yet always manages to wow me with her creations. This ensemble is one of her simpler, laid back looks, but it is just as cute. I am a huge fan of stripes and I love the combination of gray and red together. Add a simple bangle, and either a pair of casual converse or dressier wedges and you are set to go. Plus, don’t you love that each item is $30 and under? Cute and recession-friendly! What’s better than that?!
Pretty in print.
Saturday was my dear friend N’s birthday party and the theme was 1970’s. I am loving N’s dress—doesn’t she look so pretty on her special day? Even though we didn’t exactly go all out with costumes, we did opt for bright, loud florals and bold prints. In a rush to find something to wear, I skimmed F21 earlier in the day and found this dress for only $25, which is now my new favorite spring/summer maxi. To rev up the 70’s vibe, I wore lots of gold bracelets and rings, parted my hair down the middle, slipped into a pair of wooden platforms and I was ready to roll. All in all, a really fun party! What did you all do this weekend? Do tell! I would love to know! SPxx
My search for the perfect summer sandal…
I think these would be a cute new addition to my summer wardrobe. However, I am determined to find a slightly cheaper option. Has anyone seen anything similar out there that is under $100? If so, I would love to know!
Get your kicks at Kmart.
Lately, with all my running around, my feet have started to get really tired and achy, and I have found that I keep going back to this pair of black slip-on sneakers that I bought from Kmart last summer. They are super comfy and look cute with most everything. So, the other day, while sloshing about in the rain in my trusty Hunters, I decided it was time to stock up on a few more pairs of my other trusty shoe. Best part? Not only did I get two new colors, but they are only $8 each! Sadly, I wasn’t able to find them online, but to purchase, go to your local Kmart! Happy Wednesday! SPxx
