Hi hi! Guess what I bought today?! Yep, you’re looking at it! My very own striped bikini—and and you know how I love me some stripes—found at H&M, which I will promptly be putting on the minute I hit the beach in San Diego later this week. I can not wait. I am leaving Thursday afternoon to go meet up with my parents and we are going to celebrate my Dad turning 60 and my parents 35th anniversary! Anyway, I was so inspired by my lovely purchase that I created a beach-friendly outfit around it…click here to see! (Disclaimer…Sadly I was not able to find my suit online, but luckily Top Shop had a similar one!) Happy Tuesday! SPxx

This morning, I woke up without much of a fight—both surprising and rare for me—took my time making coffee, getting my lunch ready and putting my outfit together. I got to work right on time and continued on with my morning ritual. This consists of sitting at my computer, drinking my coffee and briefly checking my gmail and favorite blogs. As I clicked open Glamour’s blog, Smitten, I was so excited to see a brand new post about three cute spring date outfits, and was absolutely taken by the top below. Made by Church & State, the North Dakota blouse has a detachable ruffle bib, which are very in right now, AND it’s on sale! SPxx
What a great start to my day, thanks Joanna!
Also, I am loving this dress and her red rain boots!

This gorgeous sweater by APC–available at Creatures of Comfort— is a tad out of my price range, seeing that it is $223, but I am still allowed to dream and covet, right? Sigh. I have been trying to find a more affordable version elsewhere, yet am still searching, so if you have any leads shoot them my way! SPxx

Two things I look for in jewelry…simplicity, and humor. Prismera has the elegant details and slight texture that I love to find in bracelets and earrings, and Emily Elizabeth Jewelry keeps it light and fun with her necklace designs. Don’t you get a kick out of the saltine cracker? I am also loving these pieces—spotted on A Cup of Jo—by Blanca Monros Gomez. SPxx

My friend R of the blog, Lex and the City, recently told me about this cool Etsy shop called Ramona West. I checked it out and instantly fell in love. Then, while perusing my friend Joanna’s blog, Cup of Jo, I saw an Etsy shop on her site that looked neat called Dear Golden. Again, hook, line and sinker. Love at first sight. So much so, that I an picked some more favorite pieces and put together an outfit, which I posted today on Budget Fashion Report. The two online boutique have really different styles and pieces, but are really inspiring and fun to browse through and shop. Here are a few of my favorite items from both. Enjoy! SPxx

I recently had a reader post a comment asking where she could find fun bright tights that were affordable, would fit well and look great. (I personally love bright tights and think they look amazing on, not to mention I have an entire bin designated for own my colored tights.) Whether or not you order them online or buy them in stores, you can’t ever really try them on, so to make sure you buy the right fit, just read the sizing chart, which is usually located on the back of the packaging. I would also go into the store, like Forever 21, Filene’s Basement, American Apparel or H&M if you have them in your city and check out the selection. Sometimes websites don’t always list everything that is in the actual shop. To see more, click here to see all the colors of the rainbow from ASOS’s collection. And, click here to see fun ways to wear them!
Here is a roundup of some of my faves.

I wore an outfit very similar to this over the weekend while I was in Chicago, and had so much fun pairing rich and dark colors like chocolate brown, navy blue, and jet black with lighter colors like cream and gray. I am particularly in love with my new scarf, shown above, that I bought at Urban Outfitters. I bought a similiar coat to this one at Forever 21, and feel like a pretty princess every time I slip it on because of the ruffly flair that happens at the bottom when I belt the waist. Stripes in my opnion, are timeless, as are solid accessories like a watch you love and sunglasses that make you feel like a rock star. (Side Note: these of course vary from person to person, so have fun with it!) And, well, in my mind, gray skinny jeans go with almost eveything. They are neutral enough to blend but stand out from the basic blue. Lastly, if you have read this blog or know anything about me, you will know how I feel about brown oxfords. These pair from U.O. are particularly lovely. And, to put the cherry on my shoe sundae, they are on sale. What more could I ask for?! SPxx
