Moonlighting In Morocco: Oualidia (photo heavy post!)
Just wanted to jump back about a week or so and revisit and share my photos with you from the second half of my trip to Morocco. After a handful of days in Casablanca, our amazing tour guide and driver, Hassan, drove us out to Oualidia to stay for a couple days at La Sultana Hotel and Spa. I was blown away by the beauty of this place. I definitely plan on coming back in the future.
I found myself wearing some version of a flowy pant the whole time.
We lunched on the water, literally.
Decadent pasta with lobster!
We each had our own private decks complete with hot tubs.

We went for a boat ride around the lagoon and saw these cute little boats everywhere we went.
This was such a special, special trip. Thank you to everyone that made it possible. xo
Moonlighting In Morocco: Casablanca (photo heavy post!)
Last week I was one lucky girl and hopped aboard a plane to Casablanca, Morocco as a guest of the Morocco Tourism Board to attend the Festi Mode Casablanca Fashion week with Jules, Lindsey and Natalie. We spent the first day in Casablanca enjoying breakfast by the sea, then heading over to the outdoor markets to browse for bags, jewelry and to take in all the scenery. I remember being unsure about what to wear so I opted for a long, printed maxi and a lightweight sweater since the weather was a bit chilly at times.

I was so tempted to buy a little rug! The men that showed us all the traditional weaves were so friendly and greeted us with traditional sweet mint Moroccan tea.
Spotted this kitty just hanging out in the markets. It sat as still as can be no matter how close we got – such a good model!
I’m slightly obsessed with old, interesting doors and always take lots of photos of them wherever I am. I hope to one day have a wall of them from all the places I’ve traveled.
Bags and knick knacks galore! We wandered through many shops and I ended up finding a pretty cognac leather bag, two scarves, a bronze bowl to hold my jewelry and and a pretty purple tea glass.

Day two, we ate breakfast outside again, made a quick trip to Zara (!) where I bought a black blazer with leather sleeves and then headed to the main Mosque, which is actually one of the largest in the world (according to our incredible guide, Hassan!). Apparently, the structure isn’t very old, but geez, will the architecture take your breath away. It was a very humbling and amazing experience to be inside and out looking around.
One of my favorite shots taken inside the Mosque.
I gravitated towards flowy dresses and pants for most of the trip and had a little fun with pattern mixing on this particular day. I also brought a bright, neon yellow scarf for a pop of color.
Where all the fashion shows took place. We attended about three shows every night – one where we were sat front row!
Again, such pretty doors!
More to come on the second leg of my trip to Oualidia, Morocco, so stay tuned!

For those of us just joining us, my good friend and fellow blogger, Helena, and I teamed up with Chevrolet to test drive the new 2013 Chevy Malibu and headed up state for a little road trip (read all about it here!) to try out this cute little cherry-red car. You can read all about our trip here, but if you’d like to take a look, here is a little photo montage from our trip upstate!

amazing austin – day #3
Ray-Ban Wayfarers / Austin Tank (locally bought) / Rock & Republic Shorts / Vintage Coach Bag (bought in Austin) / TKEES Sandals / Coach Watch (c/o)
By the time my Austin trip came to an end, I was only willing to put on versions of this outfit – a loose fitting tank and shorts. I didn’t even want to wear jewelry, besides my watch, because it was just so dang hot. But, I love simple ensembles like this one, especially when the items involved are new favorites like this sweet Austin tank, combined with old standbys like these white cut-offs, which used to be Citizens of Humanity circa 2004. Happy Friday! xo

Our first night in Austin was spent dining out at La Condesa, then grabbing post-dinner drinks at the HandleBar. Saturday evening we went with a huge group to Uchicko for sushi, then to Rainey street, which was one of my favorite places to hang out outside with a glass of chilled white wine. I have to say, this type of outfit was my go-to uniform the whole weekend because of the extreme heat (reminder, I am originally from Seattle and think 75 degrees is was hot) so this way I kept cool but still felt dressed up – pretty perfect in my mind!
More Austin outfit photos to come over the next couple days, so stay tuned! xo
P.S. The winners of the F+C bag giveaway will be chosen today – I will announce everything as soon as I have all the details! Good luck!

Howdy from Austin! I’ve been in this lovely little town (my first time visiting!) since Friday and have had a blast – definitely a place I will be revisiting in the near future. Luckily, thanks to my awesome friends, I was able to grab outfit shots everyday, so I will be sharing them with you throughout the week! The weather was around 100 degrees every day, so I relied on this style of dress for an easy breezy look to keep cool while still feeling cute. When we weren’t walking around shopping and checking out the sights, we went for dips at Barton Springs and the pool at the W Austin where we stayed – always a great experience in my opinion. Thanks for a great time Austin, until next time!
P.S. Wishing a happy Birthday to my dear friend, Brie!

Wore this bright little number to a lovely dinner at Ruschmeyer’s with the girls last Thursday in Montauk. Seeing that the weather earlier that day was absolutely dreary, I decided to slip on this bright pink tank to brighten things up, which did just the trick! xo
