An Afternoon at the Wölffer Estate
I spent the better part of last week in Montauk hanging out with some good friends of mine that I’ve known since my publishing days. We’ve made it a tradition to come out every year and it never fails to be an amazing time. Despite the rainy day we had on Thursday, we made the best of it by heading to a couple different wineries and indulging in some tastings. We ended up staying the longest at the Wölffer Estate Winery where I was able to grab a few shots near the vineyards during a quick rain intermission. Thanks Emily, for being my photographer for the afternoon! xo
J.Crew Hat (similar version available here), Sweater and Shirt (similar version here) / Ray-Ban Sunglasses / Rugby Jeans / Rebecca Minkoff Tote (available in orange and pink) (c/o) / Sole Society Shoes (old) / Urban Outfitters Necklace
P.S. Have had a lot of people ask me about the neon nail polish I’m wearing, and for the life of me I can’t remember what it’s called, so I am heading to my trusty salon this week to find out the name and brand. Stay tuned! xo
Marilyn-esque
Lilly Pulitzer Dress and Clutch (here is another cute nautical version) (c/o) / White House Black Market Necklace (c/o) / J.Crew Hat / Zara Shoes / J.Crew Bangles
Felt very Marilyn-esque in this crisp, white Lilly Pulitzer dress while out in the Hamptons this past weekend. I wanted to add a bit of a twist to this classic number, so I chose these strappy snakeskin sandals for an edgy accent. The rest I kept fairly beach-inspired to even out the overall ensemble. Thanks Lindsey, for taking these photos! xo
Simply Bright
Ray-Ban Sunglasses / Zara Tank / LuLu’s Shorts (c/o) / Zara Shoes (borrowed from Lindsey) / Tote bought from a street vendor in Florence
While down in New Orleans, I continued with my wardrobe theme of easy breezy, and on this particularly hot day, I opted for a lightweight flowy tank and swishy, swingy shorts to keep me cool while down in the bayou. And because I couldn’t really bear to wear any accessories besides a pair of sunglasses, I went for bright on bright to keep things fresh and fun. Happy almost 4th of July! xo
In The City of Light
Zara Top, Jeans and Heels / Express Collar / Coach Bag and Watch (c/o) / Jewelry: A mix of Sisco Berluti, Top Shop, J.Crew, I Spy DIY and misc. pieces
These are some of my favorite photos Allison took in Paris not only because the the light was so incredibly lovely, but because they remind me of the wonderful evening that immediately followed. After we snapped these shots, she and I headed over to my very favorite restaurant/bar in Paris called Le Fumoir. We sat there for hours and talked and laughed, while sipping on Pastis, and basically eating our body weight in bread, cheese and olives. It’s pretty amazing to be able to sit in Paris with your best friend and for a handful of hours not have a care in the world. xo
Sarasota Style
Target Hat / Karen Walker Sunglasses / ASOS Cover-up (this one is a bit more but still really pretty) / F21 Bathing Suit
Would you believe I’ve had this colorful cover-up since January. I ordered it for my LA trip early this year, but it didn’t come in time, so I had to save it for the warmer months to come. Then Sarasota with one of my best friends, Liz, came up and voila! It became the perfect go-to item for Florida sun-bathing. I love mixing and matching my beach and pool-wear as much as I do my day-to-day outfits, but I love it even more when the pieces I buy are under $20! Sadly this printed piece is no longer available on ASOS, but here is a similar style, nor is this bathing suit but you can buy a similar version here! xo
Blueberry Floral
Karen Walker Sunglasses / H&M Trench (old, but LOVE this one) / F21 Shirt, Shorts (originally inspired by these) and Necklace / Nine West Shoes / World Market Scarf (similar version here) / J.Crew Belt (I also like this one and this one)
After the pouring rain we experienced in Santa Barbara the other day, I finally woke up to the sun shining and birds chirping. We took advantage of the weather by exploring UCSB’s campus where my Mom went to college back in the day, then I met up with a couple of good friends for lunch downtown. Later on, back at the ranch, the light was so pretty, and with the evenings staying lighter longer it was the perfect time to photograph my new floral shorts and printed top I found at F21. Aren’t the little sailboats cute? xo
Vested
Versace Sunglasses (gifted via Sunglass Hut) Zara Vest and Blouse / Levi Curve ID Jeans (gifted) / Ellen Tracy Shoes (bought with a Loehmann’s giftcard) / Coach Watch (gifted) / Kenneth Jay Lane Bib Necklace ( gifted via Thomas Laine)
Found this gem of a vest at the Zara in Oxford Circle, and am slightly obsessed with it. I can’t wait to layer it over my wool black overcoat with leather sleeves for extra warmth, or in warmer weather, slip it on under a lightweight trench for fun. I have to admit, I was tempted to buy the actual coat here, but decided the vest version was a bit more versatile.
On a different note, I’m feeling very bittersweet today, seeing that I am flying back to New York and leaving my very best friend behind for another chunk of time. I constantly seem to be split between different coasts and continents, whether it’s flying home to Seattle or heading overseas. Guess I should become tri-coastal. Does that even makes sense?! Ha. Either way, I hope you are all having a lovely Wednesday! xo
